Mariah Adams - white belt 2 years old
On the weekend of June 7th 2008,
during the International Karate Kobudo Union Summer Camp, Soke Ruiz, 10th Dan
made an unprecedented promotional recognition and title presentation to 16 year
old Mariah Adams. Her current rank
of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) was formally recognized and the title of
RENSHI (trainer) was bestowed upon her.

At only 16 years of age, Mariah has
been practicing the arts of Sansei Shito-Ryu Karate - Do, Dento Ryu Kobudo,
Goshin Budo Jiu Jitsu, and Mu Gai Ryu Hyo Do Iaido for over 14 years. As soon as
she could walk she was in the Dojo.
Mariah is homeschooled and is a straight A, 4.0 gpa student. She has won many
tournaments most notable she was the
AAU 2005 State Kobudo Champion. She was a triple crown winner at the recent
CHRISTIAN MARTIAL ARTIST COALITION, INC. SPRING BENEFIT TOURNAMENT
by winning GOLD in Black Belt Kata, GOLD in Black Belt Kobudo, and GOLD in Black
Belt Kihon
With the Age Requirement of 21 for
the rank of SANDAN (3rd Degree Black Belt) and 25 for the title of RENSHI
(Trainer)
Mariah is the youngest person in Martial Arts History to attain these honors.
She has been teaching Martial Arts, assisting
in group classes and teaching private lessons for 4 years! She is an excellent
teacher and has many request for private lessons!
